Gemma Buffalo is an indigenous artist, member of the Samson Cree nation in Maskwacis, Treaty 6 territory. She is currently based on the stolen ancestral occupied territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh first nations people. Also known as Vancouver BC. Being a child of a 60’s scoop survivor, living on and off reserve, Gemma's work in reclaiming her indigenous culture drives her to challenge the social stigma of what it means to be an indigenous woman. Gemma's experience in dentistry and the fine detail required has given her a strong foundation to hone her skills in the nail industry. Motivated to create vibrant color in pieces influenced by her love for harajuku style and anime, Gemma now uses nail beds as a canvas to install meticulously planned unique nail art for adventurous clients.
